The conversion
A country inn, converted
The kitchen is large and spacious with a servery for the dining room and atmospheric lounge with bar that harks back to the days of this being a country inn.
Outside, an accessibility ramp leads to the front door, and the large car park takes the whole convoy, with an EV charger on site.
- Two big kitchens with a servery through to the dining room
- Original bar and servery from the inn days
- Huge lounge with woodburner and Sky TV
How the house works
An evening at the Lodge
The kitchen feeds the servery, the servery feeds the table, and the lounge keeps the fire. This is how the house runs when all twenty-six are home.
i · I · The kitchens
Three ovens, twelve hob rings and a walk-through servery. Cook for the whole party without queuing for a pan.
ii · II · The table
Seating for 26 to dine round one table, under the beams beside the carved stone fireplace.
iii · III · The fire
The log burner takes the evening shift in the lounge, with seats for twenty-eight gathered around it.
iv · IV · The bar
The original bar from the inn days. Stock it yourselves and there are no last orders.
12 rooms, one house.
Rainy days, sorted
The games room in the Barn
Pool, table tennis, table football and a cross-trainer, with a sofa lounge alongside seating eight for the spectators.
For the kids
A puppet theatre, shelves of board games and a wood-chipped playground out front, overlooked by the terrace.
The garden, the tub, the barbecue
All of it yours for the whole of your stay.
