The last mile
Single track once you turn off the A40, with no street lighting, hills and sharp bends. In snow and ice it may not be fully passable by car.
Nearest shop
About a mile and a half away, with the petrol station, so most groups do one shop on the way in.
By train
Hereford, Lydney, Abergavenny, Gloucester and Newport. None are within walking distance, and there are accessible taxis at the stations.

We offer great value adventure experiences which often combine exciting outdoor activities with canoeing or kayaking, or you can have a fun day out Climbing, Gorge Scrambling, Hiking, Orienteering, taking your aim with Archery or learning Bushcraft and Survival skills in the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. These Adventure Experience Packages are ideal for large groups, corporate team building, and stag or hen parties. We also provide professional One to One Instruction to develop your canoe and kayak skills, plus a range of Courses in Coaching Paddlesport, Bushcraft and Survival, First Aid and Safety & Rescue. Held annually in the picturesque market town of Abergavenny in Monmouthshire, a culinary extravaganza attracting food lovers from far and wide. Established in 1999 by local farmers Martin Orbach and Chris Wardle to celebrate the region's agricultural heritage and high-quality produce. Features stalls offering artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, freshly baked bread, desserts, exotic spices, gourmet street food, and beverages from local breweries and distilleries, plus international cuisines. Program includes cooking demonstrations, masterclasses, and workshops led by chefs and food experts, and talks/panel discussions on sustainable farming, food ethics, and nutrition. Family-friendly with a dedicated kids' area featuring interactive workshops, storytelling sessions, and hands-on cooking classes, plus live music, street performers, and art installations. Supports local producers and artisans by giving them a platform to showcase products. Typically takes place over a weekend in mid-September; advisable to purchase tickets in advance.

ye ol' ferry inn - Location: Symonds Yat (1 mile, 15 mins walk). This beautiful, family run, riverside pub has been standing on the banks of the River Wye dating back to the 15th century.
