GATHERINGS & CELEBRATIONS
Twenty round one table
The vaulted dining room seats your whole party at a single table, and the rest of the old pub keeps the evening going.
WHAT THE HOUSE IS FOR
Built for a celebration
Read the guest book and the same words keep coming back: a 30th, a 40th, two 50ths in a month, a 70th with three generations, a golden wedding, a hen weekend, a work reunion, a family Christmas. The Anchor has become the house people take when the occasion is too big for anyone's dining room.
The room that does the work is the vaulted dining room: rough whitewashed stone, a single long table laid for twenty, filament bulbs hanging from the curve of the ceiling. One Christmas entry records all seventeen sat down to dinner together, comfortably.
The rest of the house keeps the evening going. The bar that once served the village is now your party's, the games cabin takes the teenagers, the snug takes the quiet ones, and the hot tub takes whoever is left.

THE GUEST BOOK
Birthdays, in their own handwriting
Every group leaves a page. Golden weddings, 50ths, hen weekends, four generations under one roof: the book in the porch tells it better than we can.
The book is waiting for your page.
