Gatherings & celebrations
Room for the whole party
Birthdays, reunions, weekends with friends: the dining room is laid for everyone, and the doors open to the garden.
The occasions
What this house gets booked for
Read the guest book and a pattern appears. Two significant birthdays celebrated in one weekend.
Nine families of friends catching up over a long weekend. A get-together of NHS colleagues who wanted a weekend off their feet.
Three generations under one roof without anyone feeling cramped.
The house was built for large group accommodation twice over: once as an 18th century country house, and again in its years as a hotel and restaurant. Five reception rooms mean the children's film, the card game and the quiet conversation all happen at once, in different rooms.
And when dinner is called, nobody splits into shifts. The dining room seats up to thirty-six at three long tables, with catering available if you would rather arrive and sit down.
3.6 acres to spread out in
All of it yours for the whole of your stay.
Pencraig · Wye ValleyWe had our wedding here at the beginning of September and it was just magical. The house is so gorgeous, all our guests were blown away with it, as were we.
